Whether it carries the history of men and their struggles, our utopias or our dreams, documentary cinema invites us to meet the world and meet others. We sometimes tend to believe that this form of filmmaking, because it seeks the truth, because it testifies, because it is created with reality, is manufactured without artifice, without mise-en-scene, without screenwriting… It’s also ignoring that documentary cinema is above all cinema.
